Abstract

Being at the age level when much crucial physical, emotional and intellectual development occur, kindergarten students must receive the best care and education possible. As such, kindergarten schools must be properly managed to administer the education of these young learners properly. This research aims to study the management of private kindergarten schools in Samutprakan, Thailand to determine the positive factors that support the effective management of such schools. The sample group consisted of 11 administrators and 274 teachers from private kindergarten schools in Samutprakan, totaling 285 individuals. The sample size was determined using the Krejicie and Morgan tables. Findings from questionnaires distributed to the sample group show that management of private kindergarten schools in Samutprakan is at a high level overall and that the positive supporting factors for private kindergarten management in Samutprakan include: the knowledge and skills of teachers, the management of the school, information systems management, involvement of parents, the availability and readiness of facilities, the location of the school and the availability of budget and resources. The research also shows that 4 significant variables consistently affecting the managerial excellence of private kindergarten schools in Samutprakan can be divided into the following: the school itself, teachers and other personnel, management and external factors.
